Donating To The New Era Fund
Since 1997, Montana Academy has guided hundreds of struggling teenagers to an authentic, healthy, and sustainable sense of self, often transforming their lives and the lives of their families.
On May 1st, 2020, Montana Academy became a non-profit organization under the aegis of the Board of Directors of the Montana Academy Foundation. The mission of the school has not changed, and the values that have distinguished Montana Academy as an extraordinary healing and learning community will endure.
But these are uncertain times. The current global pandemic, and the severe economic disruptions it is causing, teaches us that the world can be an unpredictable place. In recognition of these challenges, Montana Academy has launched the New Era Fund.
The Primary Purpose Of The New Era Fund
The primary purpose of the New Era Fund is to ensure that no student will be forced to withdraw from the school due to an unforeseen financial crisis in his/her family. To achieve this purpose, Montana Academy aspires to raise $500,000 from friends and supporters of the school. The money raised through this effort will establish a safety net to provide financial assistance should a family find itself in need of emergency financial support.
The New Era Fund has a solid foundation on which to build. Supporters of the school, including all ten members of the Board of Directors, have already contributed a total of $80,900. In addition, a member of the Board has made a generous pledge to match dollar-for-dollar all gifts received by the Foundation up to a total of $250,000. In effect, this remarkable commitment means that your gift will be doubled.
Please Note: In exercise of its fiduciary responsibilities, the Board of Directors may broaden the purpose of a gift should it determine at some future date that the purpose of the gift no longer serves the best interests and/or the greatest needs of the school.
